This policy explains what personal information we collect, why we collect it, who we share it with, and how you can access or delete it.

What we collect
Depending on how you contact us, we may collect:
- Contact details — your name, email address and phone number.
- Your current situation — the type of visa you hold, when it expires, and what you are trying to achieve.
- Education and background information — your level of education, qualifications, work experience and study interests.
- Correspondence — messages you send us by email, social media, messaging apps or through our website.
- Website usage data — if you visit our website, our hosting provider (Cloudflare) and the booking tool embedded on our booking pages (Calendly) may process standard technical information such as your IP address, browser type and pages viewed. We do not run analytics or advertising trackers on this site.
We only collect information that is reasonably necessary for our services. You are not required to give us your personal information, but if you choose not to, we may not be able to advise you properly.
How we collect it
We collect information directly from you, including through:
- Lead forms shown in our advertisements on Facebook and Instagram. When you submit one of these forms, Meta passes the information you entered to us. Meta's own handling of your data is governed by Meta's privacy policy, not ours.
- Direct messages on Facebook, Instagram or WhatsApp.
- Email, phone calls, video calls and consultations.
- Forms and booking tools on our website (our booking pages use Calendly).
Why we use it
We use your personal information to:
- respond to your enquiry and answer your questions;
- assess which study and education options may suit your situation;
- arrange and conduct consultations;
- introduce you to education providers and, where relevant and with your consent, to registered migration agents;
- send you follow-up communications about your enquiry;
- meet our record-keeping and legal obligations.
Where GDPR applies, our legal bases are: your consent (which you may withdraw at any time), the performance of a contract with you or steps taken at your request before entering one, and our legitimate interests in responding to enquiries and running our business.
Overseas disclosure
Some of our service providers store data outside Australia. In particular, our CRM provider Zoho stores data in the data-centre region associated with our account, which may be outside Australia. We take reasonable steps to ensure any overseas recipient handles your information consistently with this policy and with applicable privacy law.
How long we keep it
We keep your information for as long as needed to provide our services and to meet our legal and record-keeping obligations, and generally for no longer than 7 years after our last contact with you. After that, we delete it or permanently de-identify it. You can ask us to delete it sooner.
Security
We store personal information in access-controlled systems and take reasonable steps to protect it from misuse, loss, and unauthorised access, modification or disclosure. No system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee the security of information transmitted to us over the internet.
Your rights
You may ask us to:
- give you access to the personal information we hold about you;
- correct information that is inaccurate, out of date or incomplete;
- delete your information;
- stop sending you marketing or follow-up communications.
If you are in the EU or the UK, you also have the right to restrict or object to processing, the right to data portability, and the right to withdraw consent at any time.
To make a request, email us at hello@easyoz.com.au. We will respond within 30 days. We may need to verify your identity first.
Complaints
If you think we have mishandled your personal information, contact us first at hello@easyoz.com.au so we can try to resolve it.
If you are not satisfied with our response, you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au or on 1300 363 992. If you are in the EU or the UK, you may complain to your local data protection authority.
